HAMMONTON – The Hammonton Rotary Club donated 40 turkeys to the St. Vincent de Paul Society Food Bank in Hammonton Saturday, Nov. 20 to help brighten the holidays for local families in need.In addition to contributing food and money to the food bank, Hammonton Rotary Club members donate their time on the first Thursday of each month, stocking shelves and filling bags of food for the many local families that rely on the food bank for sustenance. The food bank is located in the basement of St. Joseph’s Convent, 3rd and French streets in Hammonton.Such donations are made possible though the community’s generous support of the club’s annual fundraisers which include a wine tasting event and a golf tournament in the spring, and a champagne breakfast the Sunday after Thanksgiving.The club’s annual champagne breakfast is scheduled for 8 to 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 28, at Rocco’s Townhouse in Hammonton where the public is invited enjoy a delicious breakfast while supporting the club’s many community service projects which this year includes the construction of an access ramp for a local family with a handicapped child.Breakfast tickets, which are $10 for adults and $5 for children under age 10, are available at the door, at the Health Tree, 240 S.
