Hammonton Wine Festival coming May 4-5

HAMMONTON, N.J. – The Hammonton Rotary Club and GrandAire Booking will present the inaugural Hammonton Wine Festival noon-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, May 4-5 at the Mount Carmel Society Fairgrounds, located in the heart of Hammonton.

This exciting two-day event will feature tasting by some of New Jersey’s finest wineries, wonderful food prepared by the Mount Carmel Society, live music by outstanding local and name artists, and unique crafts and vendors.

The Mt. Carmel Society, which is world famous for its 138-year-old tradition of hospitality during the annual Feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel each summer, will provide the food and the venue on its carnival grounds.

The growing list of participants includes the Plagido’s Winery of Hammonton, GorJess & LoveLee Boutique, AhgCreative Wine Glass Charms, plus music from the Pine Barons, 4 Peace Band, Harrison Hitman and Mike Gibbons, and Who Dat Band. Check back to HammontonWineFest.com and the event Facebook page as vendors and performers are added.

“You can’t beat the combination of fantastic wine, food, live music, dancing and fun, all just a short stroll away from one of our country’s top-rated main streets,” said Robert DeRose, president of the Rotary Club of Hammonton. “Come out and discover what makes the ‘Blueberry Capital of the World’ such a unique place to see and taste.”

Tickets, good for admission and a tasting glass, are $16 for one day, $26 for two days – you must be 21 or older. An all-ages spectator ticket for admission only is $6. Food will be sold separately.

Co-sponsors include Hammonton Rotary Club, GrandAire Booking, the Mt. Carmel Society, and Jersey Shore Party Rental.

A portion of the proceeds support the Rotary Club of Hammonton, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports local food bank, scholarships, youth sports, community cleanups, various international humanitarian and fellowship projects, among its many community efforts.
