2013 Hammonton Rotary Scholars recognized

Winners of the 2013 Hammonton Rotary Club Foundation Scholarship were among the special guests on hand at the Aug. 8 meeting of the Hammonton Rotary Club at Rocco’s Townhouse in Hammonton.

Scholarship winner Haley Wendt, left, 2013 Hammonton High School valedictorian, will be attending Johns Hopkins University in the fall where she intends to study psychology and neuroscience.

Scholarship winner Kimberly Sirolli, 2013 St. Joseph Regional High School salutatorian, will be attending Seton Hall University in the fall were she intends to study occupational therapy.

The scholarship, worth $500 a year for four years, is awarded based on academics, leadership and community service.

Students interested in applying for the 2014 scholarship should look for applications in their high school guidance offices, at hammontonrotary.org or on the Hammonton Rotary Club Facebook page beginning in January.

The Hammonton Rotary Club Foundation Scholarship is made possible by Hammonton area residents and businesses, who patronize, sponsor and support Hammonton Rotary Club’s various fund-raising events.
