Hammonton Rotary welcomes new members

HAMMONTON – The Hammonton Rotary Club inducted three new members at its meeting Thursday, Jan. 9 at Rocco’s Town House in Hammonton.

Welcomed into the fold were Linnea Wentz of Blue Anchor, who works as a wellness ambassador for Rite Aid, Charles A. Zingrone of Hammonton, who serves in the U.S. Air Force, and Deana Zingrone of Hammonton.

Deana Zingrone was sponsored by past President Robert DeRose; Wentz and Charles Zingrone were sponsored by Deana Zingrone.

The meeting also included a number of important business items.

The club unanimously voted to return Jim Ammann for a second consecutive term as club president for the year 2014-2015, which begins July 1.

Planning got under way for its ninth annual homemade wine tasting event in late March, and the second annual Spring Wine Festival in early May. The dates will be announced soon.

Members recapped the results of another successful holiday breakfast and noted its donation of 320 turkeys (160 at Thanksgiving and 160 at Christmas) to the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry.
