HAMMONTON – Members of the Hammonton Rotary Club presented a $500 donation to the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry Nov. 6, which will go toward the purchase of Thanksgiving food baskets for distribution to the less fortunate this holiday.

For several years the Hammonton Rotary Club has supported the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry, located in the basement of the St. Joseph Convent in Hammonton, with donations at Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas, and by staffing the operation on the first Thursday of each month. Volunteers from Rotary and other local organizations help make sure that hundreds of local families have the basic necessities of life when they need them most.

The food pantry is one of many local charities supported by the Hammonton Rotary Club. The support is made possible through the generosity of the Hammonton community who support the club by patronizing its fundraisers such as the recent Fall Festival.
