Accepting Applications by Feb. 28th for 2019’s Summer Youth Leadership Conference – RYLA

The Rotary Club of Hammonton is searching for candidates to attend its District 7505 Rotary Youth Leadership Conference at Stockton University this summer from June 23rd through June 27th. This is an amazing opportunity for young leaders to be shoulder  to shoulder with peers that have the potential to make a leadership difference in their communities.

Participants will be selected from young men and women who have exhibited leadership abilities and who will be entering their senior year of high school in the fall on 2019. Students attending Hammonton High School, St. Joseph High School, or who live within the 08037 zip code may apply.

Aimed at developing the leadership potential of young men and young women, the all-expenses-paid conference will feature many challenging activities including workshops, speakers, discussions, sports, music, and news reporting. Topics will focus on decision-making, critical thinking, communicating effectively, ethics, public service, contemporary problems, and career development. Participants in previous conferences have expressed the changing power of the conference and the empowerment they feel after attending this engaging event.

The participants will live, work, study, and play together in an academic setting under the guidance of professional counselors and educators. In addition, guest lecturers and discussion leaders will present a wide variety of vocational and community interests.
