Rotary Announces the Return of RYLA

The Rotary Club of Hammonton is pleased to announce that after two years of COVID cancellations, RYLA is returning to South Jersey for 2022.

The Rotary District 7505 Youth Leadership Awards program for high school juniors will be held on the campus of Stockton University in Galloway during two sessions in late June.

To be eligible you must live in or attend high school in the Greater Hammonton (08037) area. Local juniors attending public or private high school who are interested can apply at (see link below).

The two-day, one-night program will be offered June 26 and 27, and June 29 and 30. It previously ran for four days and three nights. Students must be available to attend either session.

Selected students will stay overnight on campus during this all-expenses-paid program, joined by more than 100 other talented young people selected by Rotary Clubs from throughout southern New Jersey.

They will be entertained, challenged, and enriched by motivational speakers, team-building experiences, and eye-opening discussions while in the company of a diverse group of students who are eager to get the most out of life’s opportunities.

The program takes place under the guidance of professional counselors and educators, and requires medical clearance and consent from parents or guardians.

Selection begins with a written application (see link on this page) and is considered based on leadership potential, citizenship, and a desire to attend the conference.

Finalists in the selection process will be contacted for an interview, either virtual or face to face.

Officials from Rotary District 7505 said they are excited to get back in the groove with RYLA and look forward to growing the program to the level it was before COVID.
