Why Support Hammonton Rotary Club?

Hammonton Rotary Club sponsors various fundraisers including its annual Homemade Wine Tasting, Sauce vs Gravy Event and a Harley Davidson raffle so it can continue supporting the community locally and globally. So what does your generous support of our many fundraisers pay for?

Support for Our Youth

Scholarships – Every year since 2001 the Hammonton Rotary Club Scholarship Foundation has awarded at least one $2,000 scholarship to a local graduating high senior.

RYLA – Every summer the club sponsors area high school juniors to attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards program at the Richard Stockton University. They join more than 150 outstanding students for a four-day, all-expenses-paid program of challenging experiences and leadership training.

Youth Sports – Since its inception in 1958 the Hammonton Rotary Club has sponsored youth sports teams. Today that tradition continues through support of local baseball, basketball, soccer and wrestling teams. Past projects have included the construction of a concession stand for the soccer field, a little league scoreboard and support of the indoor practice building at the Hammonton Lake Park.

Interact – The club sponsors the Interact Club at St. Joseph High School and Buena Regional High School. The youth service clubs engage in numerous projects from spending time with senior citizens and raising money for Hurricane Sandy relief, to helping out with Habitat for Humanity, Downtown Hammonton’s Third Thursday program and the Hammonton Halloween and Christmas parades.

Support for Our Town

Bike Racks – The Hammonton Rotary Club is continuing its plan to install eco-friendly bike racks around town to help make the community a friendlier place for pedal-powered travel.

Police and Fire Departments – In 2011 the Hammonton Rotary Club contributed $6,000 toward the purchase and training of a new police K-9 for the Hammonton Police Department. More recently the Hammonton Fire Department was the beneficiary of our 2013 Holiday Breakfast.

Kessler Hospital – While it is long gone, the Hammonton Rotary Club will be forever proud of its contribution to the founding of Kessler Hospital. Shortly after the club was sponsored and begun by the Berlin club in 1958, Hammonton Rotary was largely responsible for raising $500,000 in less than a year to begin the hospital’s construction.

Support for the Less Fortunate

Food Pantry – Since 2008 the Hammonton Rotary Club has been a key sponsor of the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry, located in the basement of the St. Joseph Convent, contributing funds and faithfully volunteering on the first Thursday of each month.

  1. Good Morning :

My purpose for this email is to promote an awareness of the Atlantic County Out of School Youth Program to the Hammonton Rotary Club.

I am contacting your office to enlist your help and assistance.

This youth program is a wonderful opportunity to help so many individuals in our community with the necessary services required to help them develop into productive and engaging members of our community. Our goal is to help these individuals obtain employment where they can maximize their core strengths and realize their full potential as an individual and employee.

America Works of New Jersey is seeking to partner with a wide variety of human services, community services, and faith-based organizations with the goal of identifying individuals who would greatly benefit from participating in this program.

We are open to all types of outreach activities and events as well as coming to your site location to make presentations to emphasize the great need for this program in Atlantic County. There are so many youth that are not aware of this program and at present, are not able to capitalize on opportunities to improve their emotional, social, financial, and vocational position.

We want to be a key catalyst in this transformative process.

I would greatly welcome the opportunity to schedule a meeting with your leadership team to discuss this program in greater detail and see how we can work together to help these individuals who desperately need direction and guidance in their lives.

Please contact me at your earliest convenience to schedule a date and time to meet.

Thank you so very much for taking time to consider this program and the tremendous positive impact it will have in Atlantic County.

    Thank you.

    Sincerely,
