The Mount Carmel Grounds in Hammonton proved to be the perfect spot for the Hammonton Rotary Club’s inaugural WinterFest, held Dec. 2-3.

Under an enormous heated bigtop, more than 20 crafters were the focal point for a steady stream of visitors who came through all day long.

Other attractions included food trucks, kids games, face painting and visits with Santa Claus on his sleigh. Courtesy of the Hammonton Fire Department, Santa arrived by firetruck, adding to the kids’ excitement. Activities closed in time for participants to walk to the downtown Christmas tree lighting.

Winterfest emphasized bringing the community together, which was evident in the many young families who turned out and lined up to see Santa. There was a firepit provided by the Kiwanis Club of Hammonton where kids could roast marshmallows and make s’mores for free.

The event was about fun, family, and fellowship, providing an opportunity for Hammonton’s diverse community to get together.

Donations of unwrapped toys and nonperishable foods were accepted to benefit local families in need.

It was all made possible by sponsors, and many community and student volunteers who donated their time to make WinterFest successful.

The Hammonton Rotary Club is grateful to the following sponsors: Maple Leaf Physical Therapy, Eric Guggenheim Ameriprize Financial, Adamucci Construction, Burlington Beef, Cecil Creek Farm and DeMeglio Septic.
