Members of the Hammonton Rotary Club stopped by the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry March 21 to present a $500 donation to support the food pantry’s annual Easter program for local families in need.

Each year the Rotary Club supports the St. Vincent de Paul Society Food Pantry with donations at Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Funding comes from those who patronize and sponsor Rotary Club fundraisers and events.

The men and women of the Hammonton Rotary Club support youth, veterans, and neighbors in need through programs and events that promote fun, fellowship, and the general welfare. They act locally but have an impact regionally and globally through its parent organization, Rotary International. New members are always welcome.

They hold several fundraisers each year including raffles, a wine tasting, and fun shoot, which allow them to award scholarships, support youth sports, contribute to local veterans groups and take on various worthy charitable causes. Rotary has also introduced its annual Winterfest, which will be making its second appearance this coming December.

Hammonton Rotary also supports Rotary Foundation which, since its founding more than 100 years ago, has spent more than $4 billion on life-changing projects, which promote public health and clean drinking water world-wide.

They meet at 7 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday of every month at Rocco’s Town House, 21 N. 3rd St. Hammonton. Message us on Facebook if you would like to come see what Rotary is all about. #servinghammonton
